Get your writing hand ready

I've been busy planting seeds, clearing out old beds, turning soil, and snuggling on the little ones. I've also been waiting for reprints of the Backyard Flock cards and a new set of spaghetti sauce cards...4 each of the Heirloom Tomato ID and Basil designs! Get your writing hand ready, they're both here now and ready to be packaged up and sold in the shop.

Flock of Cards

Yesterday I sent off to have blank cards printed. Usually I'm a stickler for printing everything myself, but with Fox and Mabel demanding 100% of my attention at home, this little project needed outsourcing. I'll have the cards back in my grubby little hands in 2 weeks! In the meantime, they're available for pre-order, or if you're in Charlottesville, VA, you can purchase them directly from me at Craft Cville on April 12.
It's been ages since I did a show, so I'm super excited to get back behind a table and talk arts and crafts will slingin' my goods (though not literally unless some sort of impromptu improv frisbee game breaks out).

I had a request for a hen (actually, they're a regular request by many people) and had the time to do a bit of drawing. She started out as this:

and turned into this Buff Orpington gal:

Now I think she needs some grass to pluck and bugs to eat...
