I've been spending entire afternoons out working in the garden.
Nearly finished the potato cages,
created a new bed with newspaper smothering, grass clippings, and compost (will add dirt to the top next week sometime? and a trellis to cover the worlds ugliest, most imposing plastic fence),
finished trenching and placing concrete blocks on the walkway side of the old bed in the back yard (now it needs cedar down one side and a good turning of the soil),
added a wire fence straight through center of the other bed,
weeded the fig bushes, mulched around them.
Of course, I don't have pictures of all this work, hence the generic yard pics from several months ago. I seem to have lost my battery charger for the digital camera. Perhaps it's time to assemble the pin hole?
Other things I often lose:
my iPod Nano: I don't know why, but it's impossible for me to keep up with,
cordless phones (I've lost 2, never to be found again; other than that there have been times where a phone is lost for several weeks before being found again),
lists of things to do: I finish them and they vaporize.

Steals and Deals found on Craigslist:
We got a new bed! My parents have a king size platform bed and have been searching for a new
mattress. It took 3 tries before finding the right one, so we got their second strike for
free. We had a queen bed (thanks to Freecycle for the frame) so started the search for a
king frame. The bed we bought is a Danish modern style platform for a bargain at $150!
Rain Barrels $60 (the city sells them for $85!)
Heirloom Tomatoes, Eggplants and Peppers $1.50 each (Big Box Stores sell them for around $3
each, with much more generic options)
