resolute

I could call these resolutions, but more than anything they're things I've been wanting to do, but procrastinating. As is the start with any new habit {or the breaking of old habits}, it's nice to have a day, a deadline, to say, "This new habit starts here*."

So what sort of habits am I making and breaking?

CanJam!
Illustration Friday. I don't think I need to tell you why.
Spending Ceasefire: will 2011 be the year we buy a place of our own? Not if I keep searching the internets for all things lovely and handmade. {Which also leads me to Spending time in domestic rehab--rediscovering the beauties before my very eyes}
Caffeine detox.
Yoga Redux.

Then there are the projects that have been the victims of terrible procrastination:

Reupholster the Plycraft Lounge chair in .  . . tan leather!
Get the hive going (maybe backwards?)

We're all a bunch of sappy, reflective people this time of year, right? Reading through Modern Kiddo's look back through 2010 I found more than a handful of things I want to do.

Of course I need more projects on my to-do list. Isn't that what the new year is all about? I'm head-over-flippin-heels for these arrows. So they're now on the to-do.

What about you? New year's plans? No new year's plans are good new year's plans?

* Here being a point in my life-timeline.
