Last week I received a phone call from our town's code enforcement office about our yard. I've come to accept this call is simply an annual passage of spring: Anonymous Neighbor complaining to code enforcement about the "weeds" in our yard being too tall. I decided to take the opportunity to educate those who can't see the food through the weeds and make some signs. I don't know if it will help alleviate their concern for appearances, but it will help code enforcement recognize the complaints are not actually about weeds, but are, in fact, plants we use.
A weed by any other name
